I am a queer, white, ciswoman and a feminist, gender-affirming therapist with over 15 years of experience working with LGBTQ+ and gender expansive adults in the Bay Area. I provide therapy to trans people because I don't believe that gender is fixed or binary. Instead, I believe that gender is fluid and that humans exist on a gender spectrum and some of us move around on it during our lifetimes and some of us don't. And all humans, regardless of gender, deserve mental health and wellness. My approach is rooted in feminist and relational therapy, which is a person-centered, socially informed model that positions treatment within a cultural context and is founded on the concept that our relationships with others and with ourselves is an essential aspect of our emotional well-being. I provide therapy to individual adults in a trauma-sensitive space where clients are the experts of their own experiences. I specialize in working with adults on anxiety/stress/burnout, intimacy and communication in relationships, internalized oppressions, major life transitions and nonmonogamous/open/polyamorous relationships. I also have extensive experience working with gender-based trauma and abusive relationships. I am not on any insurance panels, but I do have a sliding scale and will provide superbills/receipts for client reimbursement.
