Dory Herman, AMFT

I grew up in a household and a community that was gender and sexuality, expansive and inclusive. As far back as I can remember some of the most important people in my life, we're bravely themselves. I am a cis man with queer aspects and leanings and I owe much of my comfort in being myself to the lovely role models I had. As a therapist, I have been drawn towards experiential and relational approaches where connection to all aspects of experience are valued - thoughts, emotions, sensations, images, and fantasy. Understanding of ones unique life experience is essential, and I emphasize the role of attachment, trauma, and identity in my work. I am an associate therapist (AMFT).
