Welcome and thank you for your interest in my practice. I obtained my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University-San Francisco in 2012. Across my 17 years working in the field of psychology I have had the privilege of providing mental health care as an individual and family therapist as well as a school-based therapist, an evaluator for psychodiagnostic assessment, and a clinical supervisor. I completed my internship and post-doctoral training at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. After finalizing my license, I worked in community mental health clinics in southern California and participated in an APA internship and training program as a supervisor. After returning to the Bay Area, I worked for three and half years at the Kaiser Permanente Marin-Sonoma Department of Psychiatry. It has been my great joy to work at Bridge to Bridge Psychotherapy group for the past two years.
I have a particular passion for supporting the LGBTQIA community and am a current WPATH member (wpath.org) with training on providing competent therapy for youth and their families as well as adults as they navigate their gender and identity. My approach to therapy begins with an attachment, psychodynamic, and relational framework and incorporates practical interventions to achieve specific goals. Co-creating a space in which all parties feel respected and understood is one of my core values and will always be my intention. As an integrative therapist, I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with each patient to identify the unique combination of lenses and interventions that will help them to address and attain their mental health needs and goals. For instance, it has been rewarding to integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Gender Affirming Therapy into my practice.
In addition to this specialty in care related to gender and sexuality, I continue to offer therapeutic services as a generalist psychologist. Specifically, I have training and expertise in supporting issues such as anxiety, depression, parenting, family relationships, feminist psychology, externalizing behaviors, self-harm, trauma, health psychology and adjustment to life stressors. I do not currently accept any insurance, but can provide monthly Superbills to clients for reimbursement by their insurance or HSA/FSA. I offer individual, family, and parent coaching therapy services in Marin and Sonoma counties and am privileged to share community with all of you.
