I am an associate marriage and family therapist serving my beloved communities: LGBTQ+, the neurodivergent, and those in alternative relationships such as kink, polyamory, and swinging. I see adults, elders, couples, and teens. I specifically seek to provide services to gender-expansive people as a counter to the current oppression faced by my queer sister-community; I see it as my duty and a joy as an ally to provide a safe, supportive space in which clients can be fully themselves without judgment. Cultivation Liberation Counseling is experienced with counseling trans clients and has access to education and resources for its clinicians. My personal and professional experience is with recovery from domestic violence, sexual assault, eating disorders, and substance use, as well as the accompanying symptoms of anxiety and depression. I also have experience working with clients near the end of life and impacted by dementia. While I do not specialize in immigration issues, I am an immigrant myself and understand the experience of the third-culture kid. Whatever you are dealing with, I am here to listen without judgment and help you explore ways to heal and create joy. I use somatic, existential-humanistic, and relational approaches; the body can tell us so much, as can the meanings we make of our experiences, and the therapist-client relationship itself can be the medicine. I provide virtual therapy sessions to clients throughout California. I accept Medi-Cal and private pay, with sliding scale available. I am supervised by Joy Jaco, LMFT#135999.
